Potty Training
Help!!! Can you see that mischevious grin? We have a stubborn little girl who knows she has Mommy and Daddy wrapped around her little finger (mostly her Daddy)... We've been "going" on the potty for a while now, but it's not her time yet. It does give us some "quality" time, as she sits and chats with us. She loves to pick out a sticker to put on the chart, after she goes. Can't believe my little girl is already so grown up!!

Feeding time
Here's our little Meagan feeding some calves at Uncle Denis's farm. She sure enjoyed herself. When we travel she points our EVERY place with cows, and she sings the song "Moo Moo Moo cows, Ma Ma Ma Makes Milk..."
With the amount of milk we all drink, we should be getting our own cow, (and we wouldn't have to Mow such a big back yard!!)
Sleepy time
This little darling loves to sleep on someones lap, or shoulder, or anything besides his little bassinette. It's so much cozier on someone else... He is a real cuddle bug, and he sure lets us know when he's not happy. It's usually that he's hungry (again...) or that he just wants to be held. (a little hard when Mommy and Daddy are trying to make supper, or do dishes, or ...) Life is going well in our home. I have so much more energy than I did when I was pregnant. I can actually clean up dises after supper without having to take a nap! And being able to sleep on my belly, and bend over is such a treat!! Just thought I'd post a picture of our darling sleeping. I think he'll be a snorer, like his Daddy... :)

Caleb's first trip
Caleb will have a lot of "firsts" during this year, and this past weekend was his first trip to Red Deer to visit his new Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He slept the whole way, so he did not see a lot of the scenery...
Meagan was able to feed some little calves at the Duncan's farm, and she loved it! She also loved playing with Grandpa & Grandma's dog, Oakley. It was great seeing everybody, and we wish we had more time to visit more!
We came to check out a van that we thought would be good for us. Never thought we'd be doing much traveling with a new born, but things went well!

Proud Big Sister
Meagan is slowly adjusting to having a little brother around. It was great to have Grant and my Mom aound the first couple days, so we could give her lots of attention and make her feel special. We've started "putting her to work" right away, helping bring diapers, bottles, and Mommy water when she breast feeds. (As you can imagine, he is a BIG eater and it seems we're feeding him all day long :) )
The Health Unit nurse came to the house to do a regular house call, and when asked what "percentile" he is in compared to other babies, she replied "He's off the charts". He could be compared to a baby at 2 months old. He won't be fitting 3 month clothing for long...
We are all doing fine. I don't even feel like I've had a baby, except for the first day where I had problems breathing when I walked around, which was much the same as during the whole pregnancy. He did a good job pushing all my insides to make room for himself. I could feel him pushing on my ribs during delivery, as he must have been wanting to help me out.
Thank you to everyone for your emails. We appreciate your words of Welcome.

Caleb's Story
We are very happy to announce that all is well with our new addition. I was schedualed to be induced for 3 days straight, and was turned away because of a c-section booking (Wed), short staff (Thurs), and no back up surgeons available when light contractions started naturally at noon on Friday.
By 7 o'oclock, baby wanted out, and after a few tries, doctor decided we needed to be flown out as precaution as baby was bigger than expected. While Air Abulance was on their way and he explained what would be happening, Caleb came into this world. He must have wanted to be born in our home town... Then we all noticed how big he was, and after being weighed, we were amazed that he was such a big boy, and Mom mangaged quite fine. Staff thought he'd broken a record in this hospital, for biggest baby, but not quite.
Mommy packed New Born clothes and diapers, and he went straight into 3 month clothes and size one diapers, and had a Very Big Appetite (much like his Daddy). We are all doing fine and trying to adjust to having a baby around the house again. We can't stop admiring him!!!! He is a VERY content baby and is fitting perfectly with all the commotion and noise. Meagan is a proud big sister and will be a great playmate...

Baby's arrival soon!
Hello folks!
This shoud be the week that our little addition to the family will arrive. We've got the house ready for the new baby ( bassinette, blankets, bouncy chair, etc) and we're getting excited. As we've done this before, we're not nervous. We just hope things go well and that baby is HEALTHY! Our first due date is passed (March 1st) and the second (March 11th) is approaching fast. Baby is still very active in my tummy, and just itching to get out... ( I think).
Meagan was 8 3 oz, and labour was about 3-4 hours. I just pray that Grant will be home and not working somewheres up North when everything starts! I keep hearing the second time around is even faster!! I guess we'll see! And of course we'll keep you posted!
We look forward to seeing Meagan with her new sibling for the first time. She must think that Baby in Mommy's tummy will be there forever... I'm sure that she'll be a great help.
We spent a day doing a Prenatal course as a Refresher for things like the signs of labour, stages of pregnancy, pain relief, etc. It is also exciting for us to have friends having babies every month after us until September! It will make things very interesting when we have get togethers!!
Also, as a note. I am trying to sell my Jeep Liberty as we are getting a Van to fit us and our stuff... It's a great vehicle, and I'd like it to go to a good home! :) If interested:

As this may be the last time I write as a Mother of 1, with a full night's sleep, I look forward to seeing you post a few messages once in a while, as everything written will be in Baby's Journal. Please let us know if you have a change in email address. Meagan's old website is being swtiched to this "blog" as it's much easier to update and load pictures.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers!!
