Family Pool Time

We took a trip to the pool last night, to help Meagan practice some of the things she's learning in her lessons. Caleb just jung out in the little floating tube, and enjoyed himself.

We did have a little mishap yesterday, that was not too pleasant. Meagan and I go picking raspberries in the bushes, near the house, and she showed me where there were "bluedubbies" as she calls blueberries, (but they were saskatoons), and as I was picking them, I realized there was a wasp nest around, and as I was getting us away from the spot, Meagan got stung on the toe. While grabbing her to get away, I got stung on the leg. Boy that hurts!!Later she watched her Dad get rid of the nest, but she was very worried for him... Not a fun experience.

Caleb is starting to sleep more through out the night. Which is nice! He is still enjoying his tasty rice cereal. Gets it all in his mouth, and doesn't waste any! And I've been quite happy these past couple weeks, as Meagan has been trying a few new foods. She as SUCH a picky eater, and had only chicken nuggets and hotdogs for meat. Now she is enjoying burgers, and even ate have of my steak and some roasted chicken. Hurray!!

We will have quite the busy next couple of weeks. I've been planning my parents SURPRISE 25th Wedding Anniversary. And a bonus surprise is that some of my Mom's brother's and sisters are coming down for the week. So we'll be spending some time in Bonnyville to visit with everyone. Also, Grant is taking a tour with his motorbike with a few friends to a bike rally in South Dakota. And the following week, we'll be camping near Salman Arm, and taking in some tourist sites with the kids on the trip there. August will be another of those months that fly by!

My baby boy

Thought I'd better post a few pictures of my boy. Just so I'm being fair. I'm so lucky to have such an easy go lucky baby. He goes with the flow... makes some noise when he's hungry, smiles and laughs at everyone and everything, and fits in perfectly with our little family.

Had to put a picture of Caleb's superman sleeper, that he was able to wear just for the picture, as it's already too small . Boy don't you love it when clothes shrink after they've been washed!

Whenever we are heading out Meagan always says "Baby come too?" and if he's not around, she asks where he is. When she gets up first thing in the morning and after her nap, she says "Tee my baby?"

We've been out and about quite a bit this week. Meagan is taking swimming lessons, and Grandma Theroux is watching Caleb in the mornings.

Sleep time

Just had to take a photo this week when she fell asleep during a late lunch. Now, the question of the day... Did I let her sleep in her chair so I could get some laundry folded... or take a well needed nap myself... or wake her up and put her to bed? Well, she woke up pretty much after I took the photos, and continued to eat.

It's been so hot, and we've been out and about every day. Meagan is taking swimming lessons this week with a few of her friends. We're working on trying to dunk her head under water. She now blows bubbles under water, and tries to float on her front and back.
Had to throw in these extra photos as well. Nothing cuter than a little one sleeping...

County Fair

Meagan and I had a Mother & Daughter day, while Grant was at home with Caleb. Her and I went to the County Fair for some fun with her friend Braydyn. We saved the face painting for last, but it did not last long, as she had a nap when we got home and it was smeared off... (At least we have the picture...)
She got to see quite a variety of animals in the petting zoo, such as a baby potbelly pig, rabbits, chickens, a baby yak, calf, etc. She was afraid of the big black turkey, though.

The big hit was Fuzzy the clown, who made her a puppy from a balloon, and Braydyn a pink kitty. The time went by fast, as there was a lot to see.

Birthday party

Meagan had such a fun time at Hanna's birthday party. Just posting a few pictures of this monster slide, that had water sprinkling over the slide and in front of the side hole. Which kid wouldn't have a blast with this. Meagan even got to play Pin the Tail on the Donkey, and get treats from the Pinata... Thanks to Lori & Klint for having us over...

Fishing Trip

Here's Caleb in his Jolly Jumper. He loves to play with any toy in front of him. He is such a happy baby, as he gives you his biggest smile when you talk to him. (As you see in the picture...) Unfortunately he's got his 1st cold this week, but he's still happy.
If you look really closely, you can see the BIG fish Meagan caught at the trout pond. Grant's taking it off her DORA fishing rod. She was so excited. The 2 guys fishing beside us shared in her excitement. She kept says "Big Pish!"
And here's a picture of Meagan waving to you!

Weekend activities

Here's a few pictures of us as the Magic / Puppet show. Thank goodness for digital cameras, where you take pictures of everything, just for fun...

Caleb did very well with his needles, hardly cried. The nurse was amazed at fast he's grown. I knew he was off the charts. I figured he was over 22 pounds, and he is 24.5 pounds and 27 inches long. He is the size of an eighteen month old (AT FOUR MONTHS!!!) I was trying to squeeze him in size 3 diapers, but have now figured out he's meant to be in a 5, and even fits in Meagan's size 6 nicely.

Meagan went on a boat ride this weekend, and even took a turn on the tube with her Mommy. She kept telling her Uncle Dale to drive the boat faster when her cousins were on the tube. She was totally upset when her Daddy went on, as she was afraid he would fall.
We've been playing in her little pool, since it's been so hot, and she loves playing in her sand box. Today, we're going to visit the a Petting Zoo, and maybe go fishing in the Trout pond.

Playground Fun

I was very excited to meet Kacen this morning, who will be Caleb's new playmate (in a few months). He was 15 hours old, and SO SO SO adorable! He was 7 '12", and so small. It's been a long 9 months to see who was growing in my friend's belly...

Just thought I'd post a few pictures of our evening at the park. We had a little picnic, but Grant got called out to work. On Monday night, we went to a Magic / puppet show with the kids. Meagan had a fun time, and saw some of her little friends there. The next day she had 2 playdates. It's so cute to see her try to communticate with other little girls.

I am finally feeding Caleb rice cereal, and he is inhaling it. He is have quite a big bowl full for breakfast and supper. He grabs your hand with both of his, and tries to push the spoon in his mouth. He gets upset if it's not coming in fast enough, he almost wants to drink it from the bowl... And the poor boy wants to bite on anything as his 2 new little bottom teeth are hurting. (AND they are SO sharp when I let him bite on my knuckle!)

WEDDING

Here's another update... Just came back from the wedding, and thought I'd post a few pictures. Doesn't Caleb look so handsome in his little suit, and Meagan in her dress? I love our little family picture, as it's not often we take one. We had a great time at the wedding. Meagan learned the Chicken dance, and played with all the little kids. We stayed their until almost Midnight, and Meagan was still in a party mood, and not grouchy. She's always been a night owl. We drove through St. Paul and were planning on a surprise visit to see Kim, but she wasn't home... Today, Caleb is exactly 4 months old. I have started rice cereal with him starting last week. He loves it! Everyone's taking a nap right now, so I better get some of Grant's bookwork for the company caught up! GST due at the end of the month... I'd love to see you add a comment if you're checking this out... Later!

Weekend plans

Just thought I'd add a few more photos, but I should be trying to get us out of the house for a trip to Wainright (sp?) for a wedding. Now I'm going to weddings of kids I used to babysit. Makes me feel old!!!! Caleb is getting his 4 month needles next week. I'm sure he's over 22 pounds, as I weighed him a little while ago. He's wearing 18 month tops, and 6-9 month pants. He's built like his Daddy. As long as he doesn't inherit Grant's belly! :) Gotta run, one is crying, the other needs breakfast. And the day begins....

Caleb's Baptism

Posted by Picasa

Already July?

This month went by way too fast! I don't want winter to get any more closer! So, we had a great long weekend with family and friends. Caleb had a very nice baptism, and even tried to sleep through the part where the Holy water was poured on his head. He looked so cute in his little white tux. I will put on some pictures when I have an extra minute to get them off the camera... We enjoyed all our company, and wish we could have more time to visit. We also have some new additions to our family. Our cat had her 4 kittens last wednesday, and I was able to be there with her during the process. It was really special. Meagan just loves showing them off to company. She's been quite gentle with them. We did loose one of our pets this weekend. Our dogs started the habit of chasing vehicles, sad to say, it was bound to happen. Daisy will be missed...

We are off to a Wedding in Wainright this upcoming weekend. I'm sure the week will go by too fast. Hope you all had a great Canada Day weekend!
