Visit with Santa

Every year the Kinsmen put on a great Kids Christmas Party, for all the guy's kids. There were crafts, and snacks, and then Santa came. The kids were so excited. Caleb stayed close to his side. I think he was pretty excited the night before, as I told him he's see Santa, and that daddy was coming home. He stayed up until Midnight, as he was so anxious.

So Grant is home for the week, and the kids were so excited to hear his truck back into the yard. They played themselves out with him, and then finally went to sleep for the night. He's been gone most of December, and will probably be gone until the middle of March. It's going to be a long winter!

Hope you enjoy the pictures! Meagan got a really cool Camera from her Uncle Robert, so I'll have to post some of the pictures she takes over the holidays....

Cute kids huh?

Here are a few more nice pictures of my munchkins. They are growing up so fast! Meagan just had her Christmas concert, and she was so cute. Her picture is even in the Lac La Biche paper. My mom, and Dad and Caleb were there for the occasion, and she was so happy to see us. What was funny was that she had her arms crossed the whole time, as that's how they are suppose to walk when they are in the hallways. She just never uncrossed them.

Her class Christmas party is tomorrow, and I will try to go with her. I look forward to having her around for the holidays, as we miss her when she's gone all day. Grant is still working up north, and the kids haven't seen him for a couple weeks. We hope he will be home a couple days for Christmas.

Gotta run. My new windows are being delivered. Yeah!

It's that time of year

Here's a nice photo of Meagan in her new dress from Grandma Claudia. There is a nice one of both her and Caleb, I will post a little later.

Life is busy as usual around here. Meagan's birthday is on Friday. I can't believe she'll be 5 already!! She's quite excited. We have 3 kids Christmas parties in the next week, and Meagan's school Christmas concert. Grant just left for work up north. I hope it warms up a little for him. He doesn't even put a Winter coat on if it's -20. Just a hoody!!

That's about it for now!! Later

Trip to Montreal

WOW!! This month has gone by SO fast. I can't believe how busy I've been. And now the holidays. I can't wait to have a boring day! I am posting a few pictures of my recent trip to Montreal for one of my Aunty's Funeral. My mom, brother and I went for a quick trip. It was great to see everyone. I enjoyed having a day to hang out with my brother and cousin in Old Montreal. I can't remember the last time I just hung out with my brother, without kids to try to entertain. These pictures are taken with his camera. I should of went with a Nikon! He does a great job.

I did miss my kids so much. The weekend before we were in Red Deer, and now Grant has started working up North. So I'm a single parent again. I am going to be putting Caleb in a day home soon, so I can get do some volunteer work in Meagan's class, and do some subbing. It's times like this that I wish my Mom lived in Lac La Biche. She wishes she could see them more often, and be there to help me out. We do try to go to Bonnyville at least one weekend a month. I think I may be going there this weekend, so I can do my Christmas shopping in Cold Lake while she watches the kids. We're celebrating Christmas with my family on Dec 5th, as that's the only weekend my brother has off.

I've been trying to do an EXTENSIVE saftey program / manual for Grant so the big companies will allow him to work for them. I've put WAY too many hours into it, but it has to get done. And I've got some many projects I want to do through Heritage Makers, but that will have to wait. Besides Christmas cards, and calendars, I want to start creating a Story book about each set of Grandparents that I have (with is 5 sets), along with Grant's Grandparents. I also want to do a story book about my first Dad. I would love to have these done, to give to my kids one day. The other day, I calculated that I have 53, yes FIFTY THREE Aunts and Uncles, (with their spouses, that makes 106!!) Scary huh? Until later!!

Trick or Treating

We had a fun Halloween together. The kids went to the Library in the morning for a story and craft time, and then we went to town after their nap. Caleb was so cute, as he'd say "Treat Please". He was pretty shy, but he had fun. Meagan was so excited to go house to house.

This past week, I was the substitute teacher for the playschool, and I saw how many kids are home sick. So happy mine are still healthy! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Pumpkin Carving

We had some friends over to do a Pumpkin Carving afternoon together. The kids helped a little bit, but they enjoyed playing more! So the mom's took over. Usually this is Grant's activity with the kids, he has some awesome talent at this task. Instead, he kept very busy with the Oilmen's Curling Bonspeil that he was organizing.

The kids were able to stay at my parents' place for 4 days, while I was taking an online course, and working on Grant's Health and Saftey manual. I also made his web site, so feel free to check out www.Therouxtrucking.com

The kids had a great time, and my parents were so happy to have them all to themselves. It's been a while since I took a few days to myself. Wish I could of done funner things with my freedom, like Scrapbook! I did become a Consultant for yet another company! I'm hooked on Heritage Maker, which is an online Digital Production site. I can now make calendars, cards, scrap pages, recipe books, deck of cards, and Wall mounted Canvas peices, just to name a few. And now I can teach others to do it too! Check out my website at www.heritagemakers.com/394301

Gotta go make supper!

Fall days

Here's a few pictures from earlier. I wish we would have had nicer fall pictures, with Grant in them! I love fall! It's been a weird weekend, as my mom has the kids for 4 nights. I've been working on trying to get Grant's safety program finished, and I realized I can't get muchdone when I'm trying to entertain kids, make meals, clean up, etc... So this weekend, I think I've been working on the computer for over 30 hours! I had to do an online course. I was so happy to be able to do it from home, as usually you have to take a 2 day workshop. I also have to type up his saftey manual, which is now over 35 pages!
PLUS, I had a Heritage Maker workshop, to teach my friends how to do sigital scapbooking. Of course, I fell in love with this company, and now I'm a consultant! Check out my web page at www.heritagemakers.com/394301
And Grant and I are on our way to Edmonton to go to a Rascal Flats concert. Better go!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

So, we've done our fair share of Turket Crafts, talked about the things we are Thankful for, and are getting ready for BIG family meals.. We'll be heading to Bonnyville, where Grandpa and Grandma are anxiously waiting to see their "Miss Muffet" and "Mr. Boo" (as my Dad has renamed them). Then we get to spend some time with the Theroux Clan. Should be fun!
Snow has come way too early!! I was still hoping for some nice Fall family pictures. Hopefully we have a few beautiful days left before winter! It's my favorite season of the year... wish it was longer!!
For whoever takes a peek at this site, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Petting Zoo

A few more pictures of our trip to the Pumpkin festival, and the petting zoo. Caleb was so cute with the animals, as he would hug most of them, and he'd jump around with excitement. Meagan loved the corn maze, as she was in charge of telling us where to turn. Took us about a half an hour to get out, and we walked about a half a mile. Meagan wanted to go on all the rides at teh carnival, but we had time for one. Caleb didn't last very long on it, and they had to stop to take him off. He was happy taking a school bus around town, as he has a melt down every morning when we walk Meagan to the bus in the mornings, and he can't go on with her. Hope you enjoyed the update! :)

Pumpkin Festival

I was just downloading pictures off my camera from yesterday, when we went to Smokey Lake for the Pumpkin Festival. Not a lot of photos turned out nice, as I wasn't using my favorite camera. But the kids had a great time, and loved spending the day with their Grandma and Grandpa Kohlman. They enjoyed going to the petting zoo and corn maze, and were able to pick out thier own pumpkins to bring home. There were so many animals to pet, and I was happy they were able to see a turkey up close, as we've been making turkey crafts ! (and we'll be eating one soon!)
Then on our way home, we stopped to see Grant where he was working, and they told him all they did.

Fun with photos

After Meagan's haircut, I stopped at the Big Dock, to take some photos of the kids. It is such a beautiful fall day, and I so hope we can go take some family photos in the leaves, before it snows.. (which the weather man says may happen soon!!)
