Camping at Touchwood

So... finally, after looking and looking at 5th wheels, we bought one. It took 3 days to pack it up, and we went to Touchwood with friends. We had a great time, but I didn't take many pictures. I was busy trying to relax! :) The kids loved hanging out in the camper while we packed. They love their rooms.

At the camp site, they got to see a squirrel and a rabbit. The birds got a yummy breakfast our first morning, as we left a package of Cosco muffins on the table. Ooops.... The mosquitoes were so bad, so we came home with quite a few bites. We look forward to going out again next weekend with another group of friends. I will hopefully take more pictures!

Trip to Athabasca

So.. you may be wondering who is in the picture with Grant and Caleb. He happens to be Caleb's Great Great Great Grand Father. There was something written about his life, being known as "Captain Shot". Known for his ability to shoot the rapids in this area. Kind of a neat picture huh? We went for a drive to Athabasca, and along the riverside, there was information about some of the history. We had a nice afternoon with the kids.

Also, they were able to enjoy watching the boys at the skateboarding park. Meagan thought that was "Pretty Cool". Then we discovered the splash park. Unfortunately, it's still so chilly out (in JUNE!) (We heard Calgary got snow that morning!) We also explored the river, and the kids loved to throw things in the water. Then Meagan showed off her talent on the big stage, over looking Athabasca River. Thought I'd share!
