January fun

Here are some pictures of the kids playing outside, and of Meagan, who joined us at the Girl Guides' winter camp at the Lac La Biche Mission. The girls learned how to make homemade jam, butter, ice cream, and scones. They went snowshoeing, and had a tour of the old Convent... which had tons of old artifacts.. We've been loving the warm weather this month.. and enjoy playing outside..

Opening gifts

It's usually quite busy with our traveling to 3 different towns to open all our gifts with our 3 families.. but is sure it fun.. The time goes by so fast.. and the kids get so excited. I love taking photos of everyone.. but noticed I had none of me :) I also try to video tape the action, if I remember.. The best part of our Christmas was being able to share our news..

Our little family of 3 kids, will have an addition in July! Baby # 4 is on it's way.. The kids are so excited to tell our friends and family. It should be an interesting 2012!

Sienna's 2nd Christmas

This year.. Sienna got into the swing of things for the season. She would pull off the Christmas balls off the tree, try to touch the lights, and helped open some of her gifts.. So every year.. the kids see Santa a few times.. These pictures were taken at the Kinsmen / Kinette kids Christmas party. Finally Sienna got to see Santa.. but she was not happy about it.. she didn't want anything to do with him. I'm surprise I got her close to him!! The kids also made some crafts, had some snacks, and opened their gifts.. The pickles were in easy reach for Sienna.. and she just kept helping herself.. so she walked around with a pickle in her hand almost the hole time..

Christmas Concerts

A very exciting time for parents.. Christmas concert.. I was quite nervous for Caleb's first time on the stage.. He can be very "shy" as he puts it.. I was actually surprise he went up.. (and of course SO proud!!).. He sang SANTA - to the tune of BINGO. Grant's been home quite a bit leading up to Dec.. and the week of their concerts and Christmas parties. he was working every day for 2 weeks, 18 hr days.. So he missed it.. Meagan is in the Choir this year, so she sang 2 songs.. They both did quite well.. I usually don't post other kids photos on my blog, or facebook.. but just this once.. I did..

Kids meet Santa ( aka Dad)

Grant makes the perfect Santa.. he loves kids, and has his own suit, (doesn't need the extra pillow paadding).. so I used him for a Kinettte fundraiser that I was in charge of.. We did Santa photos during the festival of trees, and the proceeds went to STARS ambulance.. Meagan also entered her Gingerbread house (and won 2nd place $50)... and she also had her first Brownie sleepover the same night.. Here are a few pics.. We had lots of families go through in 2 hours, and of course I had to have the kids sit on Santa's knees.. *even though they knew Daddy was filling in for the real Santa. Caleb asked for a Rocket ship, and Meagan wanted a snowboard.

Meagan turns 7!!

Ok.. It's almost been a month since I last blogged.. I't been crazy busy here.. so now that it's January.. it's getting back to normal.. I'm suppose to be doing books.. but getting distracted!!

We celebrated Meagan's birthday at the Pool with about 20 kids!! She enjoyed the party so much. and the theme was Pet Shop. We swam for an hour, then had snacks and opened gifts.. The next day.. her real birthday, we celebrated with her grandparents and Aunt and cousins.. She was so excited for her birthday.. here are a few pictures..

Trick or Treating

The kids were quite shy at first to go into the stores, and say "Trick or Treat"... but they got into it quickly! We even took the time to go to 2 Haunted houses, and one Haunted Forest.. It was a fun night.. A little chilly with a slight wind, but the kids had fun!

Halloween Fun

The kids were very excited for Halloween.. They enjoyed having all the decorations up, making Halloween crafts, carving pumpkins, and of course dressing up!! I would have loved to hear what Sienna was thinking, as she must of thought things were a little weird!! Especially when we were going downtown for trick or Treating, and everyone was wearing costumes!

Love taking pictures of the kids playing in the leaves.. (But is sure takes a long time to clean them all up!) It's our first October at the new place.. and I just love the colors that surround us.. Next month with be our First year Anniversary in the new place! It's been such a great year.. We love it here! We're makin glots of great memories here.. and there's so many more to come!

Thanksgiving weekend.. we decided to take the kids to Jarassic Park near Bon Accord for a little adventure.. We had a nice walk along the path.. and enjoyed watching the kids reactions to the dinosaurs.. They enjoyed it way better than the Tyrell Museum, as these dinosaurs are animated and make sounds.. Caleb is usually the one who is scared of everything, but we were surprised that Meagan was the one holding our hand and nervous as we began the walk.

The weather was just prefect for great beach days with everyone.. Sienna loved playing in the sand, and walking in the water.. Caleb floated with his lifejacket for hours, and Meagan tried water skiing for the first time, and loved tubing with her cousins..

Just a few more pictures to peek at.. Meagan had a Pop and Lemondae stand while we held a Garage Sale in the shop, and that evening, the kids played in the one of their pools.. It was Sienna's first time in the baby pool, and she had so much fun! She loves the water... And in a couple days, we'll be playing on the beach in Salmon Arm everyday for a week (if the weather's nice). It's time for our Annual Family Reunion with my family. I'll also be spending my birthday there, the first night we arrive. Can't believe it's August already!! I'll post pictures of our trip of course!

Can you believe it's been a year already since this little darling has entered our lives.. She brings such to us, and has been such a good baby.. but now she's a big girl! We've had a lot of firsts.. first camping trip, first Halloween, Christmas, Easter.. First time for all sorts of yummy food, first smile, laugh, roll, crawl, step, giggle...etc. Happy birthday baby girl! What a big day for our little girl.. As I am putting these out for you to see, at around this time (7 pm ) a year ago, Sienna was born! What a day to remember. She has been such a blessing to our family.. She had a great FIRST birthday, surround by some family and friends. It was a great time had by all. We enjoyed the cake and cupcakes very much, had a pinata, and opened some presents.. Sienna even got her first battery operated jeep, which a few people chipped in for (a gift that last for many years!) Then the kids went home with some cotton candy, and helium balloons. And another big event for us.. Sienna started walked yesterday, for the first time. Although it only happens when she chooses to. So exciting to see her first steps.. And so happy I got it on video on Grant's phone. I've been waiting for this moment for a while now!

Banff / Beach

Just a few pictures to post.. Grant and I had a great weekend Get Away in Banff, for a friend's wedding. The kids got 2 sleepovers in Red Deer with their Grandparents.. and they loved it! And while my brother came for a visit in Lac La Biche, we spent a morning at the beach..

There were MANY different activities the kids could do at the County Fair. Meagan loved going on the pony ride.. where as Caleb was a little scared. They did crafts, watched a Magician, went to a petting zoo, and got their face painted..

County Fair

The kids have been busy collecting and making crafts for the fair, which they do every year.. This year Meagan entered 15 crafts, and won $57 in prize money (1st place ribbon $5, 2nd place, $3, 3rd place $2.) Caleb entered 6 crafts, and won $12. They were so excited... and loved seeing their crafts displayed with the others. In the one photo, you can see Meagans' pink onesie, Fall wreath, and Family garden stone (bottom left) that she made. This year, I also went into all the elementary school classrooms to talk about this event, as there were not many kids that would enter projects.. This year the tables were full!

Since there was a big downpour the evening we spent at the Stampede, the kids didn't get to go on any rides, so while Sienna had a nap in the van with Grant driving around, I took the kids on some rides.. They had fun, and would of liked to have gone on every ride!!

Just a few photos to catch up.. Here's Sienna on Grant's new motorbike, and the kids at school. The school year went by so fast, and June was full of fieldtrips and fun days. Now it's summer holidays, and it'll be nice to have the kids at home all the time! We have quite a few things planned this summer.. so it'll be a fun one. Easter Fun

Yeah!! Spring is here!! Here are just a few pictures of the kids over the past 2 days. It's been a busy month for us.. Meagan was in the music festival, we celebrated Grant's birthday, we had a huge Easter Egg hunt for our friends in our yard with a potluck supper, and today we had 3 birday parties to go to! The kids have been playing outside quite a bit, exploring our new yard. We even have a skunk coming to eat our cat food every night, which we watch through our patio door. Sienna will be 9 months in a couple days.. She will be crawling in no time. We hope you have a great EAster!!

Here are a few photos I got done a while back, thought I'd post a couple of her. She's already changed so much, as these were taken in January. She is sitting up now by herself, and can scoot herself around while on her tummy. She will be crawling soon, and then the trouble begins!! She eats quite well, what ever we give her. She can pick up small finger foods, and feed herself. Whereas Caleb was on pureed food almost until he was 13 months, because he would gag so easily. And a week from today, Sienna will be 9 months!! WOW..

Dolphin Adventures

Besides playing at the pool everyday for a couple hours, the best part of the kids week was a day spent going to see the dolphins.. The were able to touch the dolphin, feed her fish, and get a kiss by her. We also saw a Sea Lion and a few iguannas. The whole week in Mexico turned out to be such fun. We went with a few other friends, and a few families with kids their age. When we got home, Caleb was so excited to tell everyone when we did over the week. The kids found a hermit crab on the beach, so they kept it for a day to show everyone.

Meagan got her hair braided, and both kids got a tatoo. They learned a few spanish words, and were even taught how to say, "Non, Gracias" when someone tried to sell them something on the beach.

Meagan enjoyed going on the mail stage with other kids to play a game such as Spanish Simon Says to get a treat afterwards, and to learn a special dance. She was not shy at all. On the other hand, Caleb sat on out laps and told everyone who asked if he's like to join "I'm too shy" (but her recieved a treat any ways). We spent most of our time at the resort ( in Neuvo), and one day in Peurto Vallarta. Can't wait for our next family trip!!

March 9th, 2007... our Caleb enters the world.. 4 years have gone by so fast! He had a great Birthday, and wanted to do it all over again the next day. He had Spiderman cupcakes with his classmates, and a party at our house with his friends and Grandpas, Grandmas, Aunty and cousins. He's got quite a few friends that are turning 4 this year. The picture below is quite cute, as the friend in the orange shirt is 5, the one to the very right just turned 3, and the other 2 kids are turning 4 this year.. and Caleb just towers over them! He is now in size 8 shirts, and 6 pants. Our big boy! We had lots of helium balloons for the kids to play with. Those were a big hit! Sienna's first birthday will be just around the corner.. and the fun will begin again!

What a special event to meet a new member of our family... Waiting patiently to meet her after 9 months of growing in her Mommy's tummy. Hailey arrived Feb 15th, and she is SO SO adorable!! Sienna will love having a little cousin her age to play with.. And we will love seeing her grow up, and show off her personality.. She has a great big brother to look after her.. Wish we didn't live far apart, so we could see them more often.. but pictures are always nice too! Hope you enjoy these ones!!

We took the kids for a fun weekend in Edmonton, since Grant surprised us by hiring someone to run his truck for the day shift for the rest of the winter, and he can be home again.. We do a fun weekend to celebrate, as the kids miss him so much, and he misses the kids so much. Looking back, the winter months he was gone for went by so fast!! I guess it's because the kids keep me so busy! Anyway, here are a few pictures of our night at Chucky Cheese.

Our wildlife in our Backyard

The kids just love seeing the wildlife out our windows.. Caleb and I saw the moose, and another time there were 5 coyotes near the marsh land.. This morning, I took a picture of this deer, standing a few feet from the house... It was such a big thing for Caleb to tell people that we have deer poop in our yard... Boy was there ever LOTS of it in the fall, while we walked around the yard! It's rare to have a day where we don't see a deer or 2, or 3... around. Grant mentioned today that he sees rabbit tracks behind the shop, but I haven't seen any of those yet. I do know we have mice somewhere, as our cat Noodles left one on our front steps, and the kids kicked snow all over it.. We can't wait until SPRING!!! It'll be fun exploring our land with the quads, and have some camp fires.. Later!!

We were in Bonnyville for Christmas Eve, Grant's sisters' for Christmas Day, and we had a Supper at our house for Boxing Day. First Day of School

Our little Caleb is now attending school! It hit me hard, that he's starting already.. to me he's still my baby. Even though he'll be 4 in March, my time with him at home will be done quickly. Right now, he'll be going Mon, Wed, and Fri mornings. He was accepted in a special program, to help him with his speech. He's in the same school as Meagan, so they're both excited about that. Meagan even asked her teacher if she could have lunch with her little brother. So cute... He'll love it. Mornings will be a little crazy, trying to pack up 3 kids to run to town.. but so worth it. Well, until later!

Our girl is 6!!

It's usually crazy around this time of year, (a little more so with the move!) but around Meagan's birthday, I take time to remember how exciting it was to become a Mom. (6 years ago!) Meagan was such a good baby, and I love looking back at all the photos I have of her.. She was so adorable, and grew up way too fast. Now that she's a Big Sister to Caleb and Sienna, I love to watch how loving she is with both of them. She takes time to play, kiss and talk to Sienna all the time, and loves to read books to both her siblings. I am so Thankful for 3 beautiful, healthy, loving kids and a wonderful husband. I couldn't be luckier!

Winter Fun

We had a "Snow Day" yesterday, where the busses couldn't run with the amount of snow we got. The kids enjoyed the day spent at home. They even had the chance to decorate our Christmas tree, and spend time in the snow, making Snow Angels. Included are a few pictures of Caleb having a discussion with Santa. A good caption for the photos " Santa... I can explain Everything!" hee hee Have a great day!!

Santa visits Lac La Biche

The kids were able to see Santa when he came to visit Lac La Biche... There was a free hot dog lunch, where we were able to cook them on the fire. The pictures turned out pretty cute!! It was great to do something to get us in the Christmas mood. All I've been focused on is trying to get things unpacked and moved around. We still have work to do at the old house. At least my Christmas stuff got moved to the new place finally, it's just all sitting in the trailer, waiting to be brought in the house. It was great to have my parents come for a few days to watch the kids, while I got some work done. I can always use an extra pair of hands (or two!) :)

Meagan's birthday is coming up on Saturday, and I'm behind schedual in getting that organized. But hopefully this week, I'll work on my Christmas cards! And Caleb had his first day of school last Friday. Very exciting! We've been waiting for him to be accepted in a certain program, and the big day finally came. I'm happy for him, but sad that he's grown up so fast! He'll be 4 in March already! I will post pictures of his first days of school soon!

I haven't been taking too many photos lately, as things are still crazy around here.. we are happily settled in, but some things still need unpacking, plus there's still more stuff at the old house to move over. This fall went by so fast, I can't believe Meagan's 6th birthday is in 10 days!! Yikes.. I better start planning things. And then Christmas! Wow!

New house

So the day has finally come where we can start moving into our new house.. A very exciting time.. but also a very crazy time. We have WAY too much stuff.. and it'll take forever for us to pack it all.. But it'll be worth the work. The kids are getting excited. We can't wait to have some great memories there with family and friends. It quite a large house, so well have it pretty empty for a bit, until we get a bunch of new furniture. It is surrounded by almost 13 acres. Lots of space to take our quads and skidoo for a ride. Gotta run!

Dress Up time

These pictures were taken at a Birthday / Halloween party we went to last weekend.. The kids all looked so cute dressed up. Along with our treat bags, most of us at the party also caught the flu.. So this past week we were taking things pretty easy. Today we'll be doing out pumpkin carving, Hallween carnival, and go Trick or Treating.. so more pictures to follow!!

Here are a few photos of us when we went to Churchill Park for an evening picnic with my parents. They spent quite a bit of time at our house helping with renos. Dad made as a beautiful bathroom in the basement, and mom helped paint the outside of the house, and deck. It was great having them around!

Full of Smiles

Ever since she was 3 weeks old, little Sienna is full of smiles when you talk to her... She is such a delight. Every time she smiles, it makes our day. Sure wish we knew what thoughts were going through her mind... Maybe she thinks we're funny looking. I wish I could turn back time, and hold her again as she was at the hospital - so small! It went too fast! I remember when we'd put on her newborn diapers, and they were up to her armpits. I'm sure you'll think these photos are SO adorable, much like I do!

Baby Shower for Sienna

We had such a pleasant Baby Shower for Sienna.. she was even awake for most of it. We had it at the church tea room, and there were about 15 ladies, and a handfull of kids, who played in the gym. Sienna even recieved quite a few gifts from ladies at the church that don't even know us very well. My friend made the decorations Pink and Brown, with a matching diaper cake, and cute cupcakes. Mom brought the icecream cake, which was gobbled up fast!

This Sunday, Sienna will already be 2 months! I keep looking back at Meagan's baby photos, and I can't get over how much they both look alike... I'm finally getting to know her routines.. And we are LOVING her smiles.... When she first wakes up, and you talk to her, she is just so happy. Once in a while we'll get a little "coo" from her, if we're lucky. I just wish I could pause time, and hold on to her as a "newborn" for a little longer!

We do miss Meagan, while she's at school. Once she gets home, the time flies as we get ready for supper, read a few books, and the kids are in bed by 7:30. She has become such a good reader, and I know she'll do great in Grade 1. Caleb and I are working on learning his numbers and alphabet every morning, and we have started the fall Moms and Tots programs again. I'm not looking forward to the winter, as I am lucky to have Grant around to help out once in a while.. Come winter, he'll be gone for 3 months straight! Well.. until later!

That time of year again

So.. the summer has gone by! Meagan started grade one, and she is loving it.. Her teacher was her "family" leader the week Meagan was at camp at the church. So she and I were happy to have her as a teacher. Although Meagan is loving school, Caleb is not too happy that he can't go to school. (as you can tell by the photo!)

Sienna is doing great. I need to take more pictures and videos!! She is such a cutie pie, and I'm loving the part where I get to dress her up in cute little outfits! She is sure smiling at us now days, and occasionally, she'll try to make some noise. Her big brother and sister just love her to pieces.

The ladies at the Church are putting together a Baby shower for Sienna next Sunday.. It'll be her day to be shown off to everyone! I wonder if she'll sleep right through the event!

Golden / Salmon Arm

Trip to BC - Salmon Arm

We took our annual trip to Salmon Arm, with a new born Sienna. We all had a great time, and enjoyed visiting with our family. The kids loved all the attention, and Sienna got her fair share of being held. I didn't take as many photos as I would have liked, but thank goodness others took photos of the week. POW WOW Days in Lac La Biche

Sienna's first POW WOW days in Lac La Biche. We went to the parade, and then to see the Water Bombers. Sienna slept through all the activities. The next day the kids and I went to Bonnyville to visit with my Brother and his family, and then Sunday night the kids watched the fire works in Lac La Biche. It was a busy weekend, and I can't get over how fast our first week with our newest daughter went. Wow. She's been so great. A perfect baby! The kids just love her to pieces. Later!

We couldn't ask for a better baby.. She is so content, calm, quite, and DAMN CUTE!!! (as are her brother and sister!) She completes us as a family. My favorite time of the day is when she has her eyes open, and looks around, and focuses on me. That hasn't happened too ofter, as all she's been doing is sleeping!! The kids love to give her attention, and Meagan could have her in her arms all day, if I let her. Caleb and I went shopping for her, and every teddy bear he wanted to buy for her. I haven't takened many more photos yet, as it's hard to catch her awake, but I'm going to try later, as I will put her announcement in the paper for next week. Grant's out and about with her and Meagan, showing her off.. He's a very proud Daddy. I'll catch up with you soon!

Dressed up for a Wedding

We enjoyed ourselves at my cousin's wedding in Bentley... The kids love seeing all their cousins, Aunts, and Uncles, Grandma and Grandpa, and Great Grandma. They were on the dance floor until 11:30 pm, not stop. The highlight of the night was to pet a little calf, that was given to my Uncle for the Dowry. We were able to get a few family photos, which hasn't happened in a long time! Until later!

Here are a few pictures of me as a kid... We've been told how much Meagan and Caleb look like Grant and I.. I really wonder what baby #3 will look like? There's only 3 more weeks until we have our newest addition! I hope all goes well. I've been getting together all the baby items we need, so it's making it seem more real! Last night I read over 5000 baby names, as we can't come up with one we both like yet! This weekend we're gone camping, and the kids have been at summer camp all the mornings of this past week. Next week they both have swimming lessons, and then we're off for the Kohlman family reunion! Later!

I get a lot more pictures taken over the summer months, as we tend to take a few trips. We've been looking forward to our trip to Jasper with our friends, way back when we booked our cabins. It has come and gone already, and all we have are some pictures!! WE had a great time, and we plan on doing this annually! 6 couples, 9 kids ( 7 boys- 2 girls). We did lots in one day, as we went to the Athabasca Falls, Miette Hot Springs, and went up the Gondola. These pictures are taken when we first arrived in Jasper.

Touring around Maui

I think Grant's favorite part of Hawaii was when he picked out which rental cars he'd like. For the Ohana island, we had a red convertible Mustang, and around Maui, we had a Bright yellow convertibel corvette, which had ALOT of jam to it.. (but not much for suspension, for the ROUGH roads we encountered by accident after Hana.) We NOW know why you can by T-shirts that say : I survived the road to Hana! WOW We spend a whole day driving to Hana and back, with the most breathtaking scenery; Waterfalls, and ocean fews. On the way there, there is 52 miles of highway, which has 63 sharp turns, and 54 one lane bridges. You can NOT drive faster than about 15 km an hour, and that was REALLY hard for Grant to do in the corvette. It was the scariest drive of my life!! And past Hana, we learned there's 6 miles of the roughest road ever, with no abilitiy to see if there's a car around the corners. We were pretty much driving on the edge of the cliff from a mountain. But everyone said it was a must see for tourists. All I can saw is WOW. These are a few pictures from our day.

Trip to Hawaii

We just got home a couple of hours ago, and I thought I'd take a peek at the 800 + photos we took, to see if we got any good ones of our trip. We were in Honolulu for 5 days, and then Maui for 4 days. We were suppose to be back yesterday, but our flight was cancelled for mechanical reasons. We had a great time, and we were able to experience some great sights of Hawaii and their culture. Some of the photos will show some of the things we did, but I could type for hours to share all the interesting things that we did. The photo of us with the Diamond Head mountain in the background was taken before we did a time share presentation. A great story to bring up with Grant! We did get $100 coucher to use on any tour, which we chose the Polynesian Cultural Center - a great Hawiian supper, and show.

Then there's a picture of us on the Pearl Harbour tour, and then the Dole plantation tour, we were tried a variety of pineapple treats, such as the ice cream treat. Yum Yum

Red Deer Trip

As always, we had a great trip to Red Deer, and then we spent some time in Edmonton. We enjoyed seeing some of our family, but didn't have time to visit everyone we would of liked to. In Edmonton, we met up with Grant's sister and kids, and went to the water Park in Sherwood park. The kids had a great time. The previous night, we went to see the 3D movie "How to Train your Dragon". Caleb's first movie on the big screen. We wished we would have had someone take a picture of us all in our 3D glasses. It was a fun night! It was a week of traveling, while Meagan was on Spring Break. A lot of late nights.. and now we're back on routine.
Meagan has been practising her poem that she will be reading for Music Festival. We cross our fingers that she will do great! Hope you enjoy the photos, taken by Marilyn :)

Here are a few more pictures... After our Easter Egg hunt, we went to visit some bunnies at my parent's rental house, and then we went over to a friend's farm to pick some eggs and visit the horses. Easter Egg Hunt

The kids had such a fun time finding Easter Eggs when we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Bonnyville. It pretty much took all morning, as they found some in the house first ant ehn outside. As Caleb found some in the house, I'd sneak them out of the basket, so he could find more (as Meagan was too quick!). He didn't notice :)
Then we had a pancake breakfast (a requirement for Meagan when we visit) and then we found all the eggs the kids decorated outside!! That Easter bunny was busy! Then Meagan took the eggs and hid them again for Grandma and Caleb to find.

Easter Egg decorating

Easter came upon us quite quickly.. and with the nice weather, the kids have been playing lots outside. Today we decorated a few Easter Eggs, and then the kids rushed back outside.. We have a little "creek" flowing through our yard, so the kids have been playing with the water. Making "potions" and dumping water from one bucket to another, along with having boat races. Grant is back home again, as of last week. The kids are enjoying all the time with him. He missed them so much. I thought it was pretty cute this mornging, when he was listening to his phone messages on speaker phone, he had saved some of the messages the kids had sent him while he was working, and listened to them over and over again, ever time he listened to his new messages.

Meagan has no school next week, so our Easter will see us go to Bonnyville, back to Lac La Biche, and then off to Red Deer. We plan on going to Edmonton for a few kid filled activities as well. This year, we will bring the kids to Chucky Cheese, to play some games. We'll probably take them to a pool or water park as well, and maybe a Gymboree. I haven't taken photos in a while, and I'm sure I'll make up for it in the next week!

Grant and I also hope to go to Mexico some time in May. Our calendar is getting quite booked up with activies (and Auctions for Grant to attend!)

The kids and I went to Edmonton in March to get to see Baby's Ultrasound. Baby's results are all good. Healthy, "nornal" size, and no problems! I will try to scan the photos to put on here. The pregnacy continues to go smoothly, and I can feel movement and kicking once in a while. The belly is slowly growing, and I had to hit the Maternity store to get some clothes that fit!

Caleb's turning 3...

Today Caleb had his hair cut, and usually this is quite an event. It's only been 2 times that he's been able to do this without a fuss. Today, he refused to walk into the hair salon, but then I coaxed him in. I used to have to sit him on my knee, and could not put on the cape. Now he sits on the chair with a cape, and it was his 2nd time that he allowed the clipper to be used. Thanks goodness the hairdresser is a friend of mine, and thinks he's cute!

Then after our Moms' n Munchkins group, we went out for lunch at Subway. He loves our lunch dates. After lunch, we joined Meagan's Kindergarden class on a field trip to the Hospital. He did really well, and fit in the group quite well. He's almost as big as some of the kids in the class. Meagan's classmates see us quite often, so they accept Caleb as part of the group, and even hold his hands. We visit the X-ray room, sang a song for the elderly, did some physio therapy, went into Emergency and the cafeteria, and finally the operating prep room, where the nurse put a Hair net on Caleb.

He is starting to get excited for his Birthday, and when we do the Calendar, he can see how his Big day is getting closer. He's finally mastered lifting 3 fingers to show that he'll be three soon. We're doing a Dinosaur Theme, as this is what both he and Meagan are into. The weather will be great, so the kids will be able to play outside. Maybe we'll do a weiner roast in the back yard... hmmm. I'm sure I'll be posting a few photos, so keep a look out! :)

Had to post one more photo with a mascot from the Family Day festival. Also, some photos from a walk to the park in Bonnyville. They like to walk hand in hand a lot, and I love taking photos of them like this. The weather has been so nice, and the kids love it. On the other hand, Grant and I hope it gets a lot colder, so he can get some more time in up in Conklin. If it gets to warm, he'll have to finish his work early. We do look forward to him being back home. The winter stretch did seem to go by quite fast. The kids have seen him a few hours a week, as he's had to come back to town for some repairs. I've been getting the paper work done to get the company incorporated, so we are now officially THEROUX TRUCKING Ltd. I'm even done all the books, and they're ready for tax season. Grant started his business in the fall of 2005, and now has 2 trucks running, and 2 employees for the winter. We'll need a family vacation when he gets back! :)

Family day festival

Just loading a few pictures of the camera, and these were taken at teh Family Day festival in February. The kids had fun, and had the chance to do a few fun activities. There was free swimming and skating as well in the afternoon, but my kids still need their afternoon naps, so we missed out. Caleb got his face painted as well, and even had his picture put on the front page the Lac La Biche newspaper. He was very proud!

Here's a mixture of a few photos... Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us over Christmas holidays... Meagan had a play date at a friends, and she got her face painted. She's already planning to be a Panda, next time she goes over. Aunty and Uncle bought the kids big animal pillows to sit on to watch tv.

We had the pleasure of going to Edmonton at the end of January for a Birthday party at the West Edmonton Waterpark with our friends. It was just the kids and I, and we had fun. Didn't take any photos though. I also took them for rides at Gallaxy Land. Caleb has free access to rides until he's 3... And that's coming up in a few weeks!!

Oh!! And something else that happened in January.. I was able to hear the Baby's heartbeat at the doctors office. I video taped the experience for Grant with the camera. I was happy to hear there was only one heart beat, as I thought there may be 2 little ones in there. Silly me, I thought I felt 2 little bumps moving around, but I was totally off in where I thought the baby should be! I was feeling too high up! Baby is now at 15 weeks, and is as big as an apple, and has all it's little parts. He or she should is already able to suck it's thumb, and make faces. My Ultrsound is booked for March 26th, so that should be exciting. Hopefully Grant will make it to this one, as he missed Caleb's (he was picking up his FIRST vacuum truck in Lloydminster, and almost made it to the appointment on time).

Ok.. it's been a month since I added more photos, but I did try to add some a few times, and it didn't work..
So.. I'll try to catch up!!

You can tell when my brother takes photos of my kids.. They turn out so nice!! Thought I'd add a few more tobagganing photos... The weather worked out nicely for us in January, that every weekend, we went for some sled rides. Of course, Caleb was very causious, and opted not to go down for the first few times.. Choosing instead to go down on his butt, or tummy, without a sled.

January flew by for us, as we kept busy. We missed Daddy, while he was at work all month, but we talk to him on the phone quite a bit. I had to bring him his regular truck, so he could get around. The kids stayed at my mom's for a weekend, and they had a blast.. It also gave me a little break. I thought I could get some work done around here, but I ended up being sick with a stupid cold.. And of course, since I'm pregnant, I couldn't take anything for it. Not fun. It's also been the month the kids have been stuck with the cold as well! I REALLY wish I could convince my parents could move to Lac La Biche, as it would be SO nice to have an extra pair of helping hands around all the time :)
