So... we finally went to see the Doodlebops Live!! Meagan's been so anxious for this event. It was in Bonnyville, so we went to visit my parents, and it was Dad's birthday celebrations too!

Hey there! I tried posting these photos a while back, and they didn't work.. so here they are!! I think I only posted once last month, so I'll have to make up for it this month!! We just had our little get away to Edmonton, not that Grant's home... we can have family time. We took the kids to the Galaxy Land at West Edmonton Mall, and the kids loved going in the swimming pool at the hotel we stayed in.. Pictures to follow!!

Happy Birthday Caleb

 

 

 

 

So our baby is now 2. He had 2 wonderful birthday parties, with family and friends. Even better was the fact that his Daddy could be around! He got so excited every time he opened a gift. He's been playing with all his new things, and loves them all.

This is the year that we'll be able to hear his voice. Right now, we can only guess his thoughts. It was very cute, when we sang "Happy Birthday", Monday morning with his friends, he put his head down and seemed embarassed. Don't know if you can tell by the picture. It was quite cute. I wish I could read his mind.

Last night, I wrote in his journal, as I do once in a while for both kids. I like to write what people got them for gifts, and what their weight and height are, along with what new things they are learning. It was nice to review what I had written over the past couple years. And there's so much more to come in the future~

And Meagan passed her swimming lessons!! Thank goodness they both did. It was quite the task to feed them and rush them out the door to make it to the lessons on time. Only forget Caleb's swimming trunks once and Meagan's panties once. Ooops :)

Pond Hockey Tournament

 

 

 

 

We ventured out today, to check out the Kinsmen Pond Hockey tournament. Grant usually does a lot of volunteering to help with this event, and we usually come out to see him. So today, it just wasn't the same without him. But we went to see what was going on. Had a burger... hot chocolate.. Walked around a bit, and visited with friends. Caleb just LOVED the little marshmellows in the hot chocolate. A first for him. I just love seeing him try something new.

So... Caleb passed his swimming lessons this week. Yeah!! So happy for him. Hopefully Meagan will pass hers on Tuesday. I guess we;ll see. She's doing really well. She can now float on her back by herself, and dumk her head under water.

Tonight we have a birthday party to go to, and the Caleb has a Birthday party on Sunday (with family), and Monday with friends. Should be fun. Can't believe he'll be 2. My baby is a big boy!! :)

So.. 2 postings in one day.. wow. Thought I'd put on a few pictures of Meagan's big night.. so her Daddy can check the blog and see how cute she was. I wish I could figure out how to put video clips on here, but instead I emailed some, so Daddy could see her in action. She sang really good, and did all the actions right. I don't put photos of other kids on here, so I cropped Meagan out of a group shot. You do get to see her dancing with her "boyfriend". The playschool hired a DJ, and the kids had so much fun dancing to the tunes! Caleb was pretty pooped by then, and he just walked around aimlessly. Still cute though!
We had such a good supper. Potlucks are always a great feast. When we got home, the kids went straight to bed. Usually I'm fighting with Meagan to go to bed. She said "I'm going to bed Mom.. good night." and shut the door. And we were home by 8 pm.
The posters of all the kids were around the hall, and it was really neat to see. I had the slideshow of all the pictures since September, playing on the wall. It was a very enjoyable evening. Thank goodness Mom was there to help out, as there was so much going on! Well, I'm off to bed! :)
