Meeting Santa

So, we had such a terrific day yesterday. The kids Christmas party was so nice. There were activities such as decorating cookies, coloring, adding glitter to your own Santa hat, and getting a snowcone. The kids had to spin a "Price is Right" type wheel, to get money to spend on doing the activities. Worked out so nice! So of course I've included a few photos for your enjoyment. (If anyone is checking this out)

AND I was so proud of Caleb. As Santa came into the room, he thought it was cool to hang out with him. He loved sitting on his lap. He was so DAMN adorable! I was busy taking photos, and video taping, so I can cherish those memories. But he surpised me by being so calm. I guess he just hates dentists, doctors and hairdressers. Hopefully one day that'll pass.

I'm just excited because I have some great photos to scrapbook! I might have to include some of the pages I create on here! I already have a page in mind. Meagan wrote the CUTEST Santa letter with her Aunty Jody. I was planning on doing that with her, and I'm so glad to see what she came up with on her own. So, along with filing it in her Keepsake box, I'll have it in her Album as well. Poor girl will have so many photo albums by the time she moves out on her own.

We have a busy week ahead of us. A trip to Bonnyville, then back home, then off to Edmonton and Red Deer. I better charge my camera batteries as I'm sure I'll be taking hundreds of photos. Hopefully I'll catch a couple great ones! Looking forward to seeing my little baby nephew, before he becomes a big boy. My brother and his family are spending Christmas with us. Also looking forward to seeing our other neices and nephew open their gift from us, as I think they'll have so much fun with it.

Here's wishing you a terrific Christmas spent with family and friends. And thank you for being part of our lives...

Outside decorations

I'm very impressed with Grant this year, as he put up all the outside decorations. There's a first for everything. And he would have put way more up, as we have tons more lights, but I told him he'll have to start earlier next year. And we'll have to figure out how to put them up without popping the breakers!!

Today the kids have a Christmas party put on by the Kinsmen. They'll get to meet Santa. Meagan's so excited. And this year, it won't be Grant. Our clever little girl figured it out last year, within seconds.

I'm starting to feel anxious for her, as her Daddy will be gone for a couple months, starting Jan 2nd. She'll miss him so much, and I'll REALLY miss the extra set of hands... It'll be an interesting winter.

Stay tuned for more pictures.... I'm almost ready to bet that there will be some of Caleb screaming on Santa's lap. Gotta have a least one of those to show him when he's older!

Birthday Girl

So... a few pictures of this weeks events.. We had a little party for Meagan at Playschool, then on the 11th, we spent her birthday in Bonnyville, and Mom made a cake for her. Then on Saturday, we had her party with all her friends and she had so much fun! She recieved so many nice presents, that she's been playing with. She was so excited to turn four, and it was so funny to hear her excitement. The morning of her birthday, Grandma and Grandpa Kohlman and St. Germain, Uncle Jeremy, and her Daddy (since he was in Edmonton) gave Meagan a call to wish and sing her Happy Birthday, and she always replied "Happy Birthday to you to!!" Very cute. :)

Now we're in a deepfreeze, and we've been vegging in the house. WAY too cold to go outside. But I'm sure the kids will start to get a little wild, and we'll have to leave our nice cozy home... some time. Hope you enjoy the photos!

Not bad

Not bad, for throwing my kids on the deck, and trying to take photos of them as quick as I could... I guess I got lucky. I thought they were cute, but I always think they're cute. Even the ones where Meagan was giving be the "dirty" look, as she wasn't happy with me :) I think it's the start of her Teacher look.

So, I was Meagan's playschool teacher on Monday, (went in with 4 hours of sleep). The day went by fast. Meagan's afternoon class only had 3 other girls, and her "boyfriend" came in late. Tomorrow I'm bring in some cupcakes for her prebirthday party. I should be baking them right now, instead of trying to download some new Christmas things for scrapbooking.

The tree is laying on the floor right now, as Grant and I try to create a tree stand that will hold my tree. It's a pretty big tree, and somehow we lost the stand that came with it. Not too smart!

I'll chat later!

Christmas Collage

Well... I'm trying to get into the Christmas mood... Hence the Christmas collage! The kids have been sick, and Caleb's keeping us awake most of the night. Hoping tonight he doesn't get sick. And tomorrow we'll try putting up the Christmas tree up. It should be interesting to see if Caleb leaves it alone. I guess time will tell. :)

I'm trying to get my Christmas cards out, and of course I ran out of ink when I wanted to print out my address labels. Maybe tomorrow I can get them done!

This time of year seems so busy, and next week Meagan will be 4! My big girl. She is so excited. She's been asking if she can be 4 for a long time!
Gotta run!

Caleb being Caleb

While I was trying to do a Christmas photo collage for my desktop, I found a few pictures I recently took. Caleb wants to feed himself, and is quite stubborn about it. I'm learning you CAN'T walk away or he'll play with his food. The first was chocholate pudding. I was on the phone, and came into the kitchen to find this. :)

We are all sick these days. Meagan caught something from someone at playschool, and now we all have it! Not fun! Can't wait until we're all healthy again!

Have a great day!
